With us, you can maximise your time here – because that's what inspires us. Our credo. Our goal. At the Stäfeli, you can expect rooms and apartments designed with a love for design, for well-being and enjoyment. Pure nature, mountains as far as the eye can see, and many large and small treasures, such as the wellness area, our EnergieRaum, the library with a wonderful selection of literature, the ZeitRaum, and so much more. And of course you will find us, your hosts together with the TIME-MAXIMISERS, who will take care of all your needs during your stay, passionately and with heart. 
We, that is Heinz, Gitti, Stephanie Birk, and Thomas, are not only a well-coordinated team as a family. As your hosts, it is of greatest importance to us, to maximise your time here.

We Make it Work.

We have created space for beautiful moments of happiness, for touching surprises, featuring cheerful colours for joyous thoughts. It is our wish to satisfy our guests and make them enjoy their stay, so that they want to come back again. Many helping hands support us every day – they are also close to our hearts. We cultivate an open corporate culture and a family-like cooperation. That is how our Stäfeli has become what it is today. A place of encounter, happiness, and appreciation.

And we are part of it with full dedication and the greatest ambitions, because the ‘quality of life’ is such a little word, with such great meaning. It means, that we do not need to own a lot of things, but that we need little to be happy deep inside. We want to consciously experience what we have. To show gratitude for all the good that is around us and for everything this earth offers us day by day. To actively participate in preserving this wonderful treasure. Step by step and with united forces, we strive to change the face of this world. Live in harmony with humans, nature, and wildlife.

At Hotel Stäfeli, we have started with the little things – day by day. Because even, and especially, those things make a difference. With our dedication to this cause, we want to give something back to nature, gain more awareness for our environment, and share a piece of this (quality of) life with our guests. At the same time, we want to develop the ability to feel satisfaction and not to cling to what seems to be missing in this sometimes hectic world. This, too, creates happiness – and in our eyes: a more sustainable kind of happiness.

We are working step by step to make the world in and around Stäfeli more sustainable:

Starting with the preservation of nature around us, that presents itself in a lush green or snowy white according to the season, to the harmonious and idyllic ambiance, the natural materials used in our hotel’s furnishings, to the regional specialities we offer for breakfast and in our Achtele wine restaurant.


At Hotel Stäfeli it is part of our business to act environmentally friendly. Here, we have listed for you a selection of measures that illustrate our holistic approach and aim to contribute to a future-oriented quality of life at the highest level:

  • Use of 'Stäfeli-Soulbottles'
  • Use of compostable paper straws
  • Since December 2019, we have adopted GreenCleaning (cleaning in the most thorough and healthy way: with pure steam. Certified and also environmentally-friendly, as no chemical ingredients are used)
  • Use of the reusable 'Stäfeli-Bag' made of cotton, which can be used for shopping
  • Provision of Lillydoo diapers from certified sustainable forestry (FSC®) in public areas
  • ResaWants natural cosmetics, organic and vegan with herbs and flowers from Vorarlberg's alpine meadow
  • Bluvion natural cosmetics, produced and sustainably packaged in a responsible manner, and made from exclusively biodegradable ingredients
  • Hand soaps from ArlbergArtisan, natural and handmade, with an invitation to our guests to take them home at the end of their vacation
  • Purchase of drinks exclusively in glass bottles
  • Use of Fernwärme-heating
  • Avoiding of single-use bathing slippers
  • Saving of natural resources by heat recovery
  • Heating of the house through underfloor heating and efficient room controlS
  • Purchase of food and goods from local suppliers to avoid long transport routeS
  • Use of LED bulbs (consume up to 90 percent less energy than standard lamps9
  • Reduced bed linen change upon guest request (every 7 days)
  • Reduced room cleaning upon guest request – for the sake of the environment
  • Towel change only as needed
  • Waste separation
  • Proper disposal and recycling of food waste
  • Avoiding of single-use packaging (e.g. at the breakfast buffet or for snacks)
  • Efficient use of resources
  • Collaboration with local suppliers
  • Offering regional dishes in our Achtele wine restaurant
